Animal Assisted Coaching

Sometimes we hold ourselves back or are in a state of feeling stuck due to lack of confidence, trauma, depression, communication styles or lack of leadership ability, there are many reasons we sabbotage a healthy balanced lifestyle. Learn to reconnect with yourself by the assistance of an equine or canine friend. Animal Assisted Coaching can help people of all varieties build confidence and leadership skills that translate into our everyday home, work or social lives.

Learn By Doing & Undoing  Horses by nature, must be aware at all times and recognize signs of danger or environments of relative safety.  Their well-being relies upon instantly interpreting what is happening around them and reacting appropriately to protect themselves and other members of the herd.  A horse’s ability to sense the energy of their environment and quickly adjust their behavior, is critical to their survival.

This unique horse trait has evolved over centuries in tandem with the horse-human relationship, enabling horses to provide feedback of interactions, emotions and moods of the people around them as they would members of their herd.  This forms the foundation of our Equine Assisted Coaching.

To put it simply - we can’t fool a horse – they immediately sense our feelings, regardless of the approach we take toward them.  We may attempt to portray confident, calm leadership when in their presence; however, they will instinctually recognize any conflict between our inner feelings and what we present to them.  Horses have an incredible ability to facilitate a reconnection between our authentic self and what we present to the world.

Our Healing Team

ZOE

is a 9 year old registered paint mare but is solid palomino in color. Her coloring is just one part of her mixed personality. One minute Zoe can seem over confident getting herself into precarious situations and the next she shows her true lack in self confidence and would rather go within herself then be open and show her vulnerability to what is presenting itself in that moment. She loves to be playful and have fun but is very bossy and is one of those individuals who is constantly changing the rules of the game to her own advantage. Zoe loves affection and enjoys helping those who have natural leadership ability but struggle with creating a clear intention behind it.

ROMEO

is a wonderful & beautiful twelve year old Quarter Horse gelding and is very confident, a little naughty and very opinionated.  In new learning situations when he doesn't know the answer right away he can become worried about not performing correctly and we have seen him shut down.  In those moments we need to slow down and give him time to ponder what we are asking.  He is a wonderful healer and will come in and out of a session, giving little tidbits of information for us to think about.  He is very sensitive to our congruency and becomes aloof when our outsides don't match our insides he will walk away until they are aligned.

MORGAN

is the senior member of our team. He is around the age of 20 but has the spirit, stamina, and presence of a young thoroughbred stallion. He is gentle and kind but loves to show off his inner and outer beauty to all that will entertain him. He is a natural leader and leads his heard with grace and a strong conviction to the rules but spends most of his days running wildly through the pasture like a young buck playing games and kicking up his heels. Morgan has a strong power in regards to healing and his energy naturally brings a calmness and strength to anyone who is in his presence.

FANCY

is a beautiful little seven year old Arab/Quarter Horse mare. When she came to us she lacked confidence and was shut-down and afraid.  Fancy's gift is teaching people to be more patient and to consider the feelings of others.  Fancy appears to lack confidence, but sometimes can surprise us when she softens to something that we thought she might struggle with. We consider her to be an introvert who is very quiet even when she is worried, but who is starting to feel comfortable expressing her own ideas.

WICCA

is a 8 year old thoroughbred mare that can be related to the mouse in the elephants body. She is physically very large with the inner reflection of being very small and unconfident. In her earlier years she developed a complex from the people around her always being intimadated by her size and fearful of her exuberant presence. This caused her to become very shutdown most of the time around humans but quite reactive in times of uncertainty. Since Wicca has come to us she has learned to relax in mind and body and has shown us her true inner teacher. She is always excepting of everyone no matter where they are in life and shows true guidance in helping us develop our inner self exceptance and learning how to present that to others in a confident and honest way.

Holly

Holly is a 9 year old Quarter Horse Mare who is very gentle in her nature and often appears unconfident in her leadership ability relying on others to make decisions for her but surprisingly will step up to a stronger leader role when she feels strongly about the outcome she is trying to achieve. She loves attention and presents herself to others as a very gentle, kind and as a quiet healer. She very quickly though once gaining a clients trust helps move them along there journey of self exploration showing them that unless they are the number one priority in their vision they wont be achieving the results they strive for.

DOC

is a 2 year old wolf white shepard cross that we rescued from the ARC foundation. You may have noticed he is still 4 legged but not of the equine species. Yes most of what we do is equine facilitated but when Doc joined into our family he presented himself in many different times of need that showed us his true love of being invoved in facilitating healing. He loves to spend his time swimming, running, playing and sitting in your lap if your so inclined. He is a great teacher of setting boundaries as he will take full advantage of your entire space if its allowed, he thrives on the affection of people and takes the saying "a dog is a mans best friend" very seriously.
